Chromoprotein amilGFP with RBS

The device consists of a RBS (BBa_B0032) and the encoding region of the chromoprotein amilGFP. This part is a subpart of BBa_K1073024 and does not include a promoter.


Usage and Biology

This part does not include a promoter, thus the expression of amilGFP can be adjusted by using varied promoters. During cultivation the chromoprotein amilGFP is expressed and stored intracellular. The yellow color of the protein can be seen by the naked eye, thus you can use the chromoprotein as a reporter to distinguish cells easily.
